Which Carpet Cleaning Method to choose:
There are several carpet cleaning methods available in the market.  1. carpet steam cleaning (also called hot water extraction, truck mount cleaning)Over 600psi hot water and steam is injected into carpet, then is sucked back by 25hp blower and collected into water tank in the van. Carpet can dry in about 5 to 10hrs. If fan is used, carpet will dry within 1hr. Advantage: high heat will kill carpet mite. High pressure and hot steam water will easily penetrate carpet and get dirt out. Disadvantage: It takes longer time to dry.  2. carpet bonnet cleaning:Mist of shampoo is sprayed onto carpet by a sprayer bottle. This can lubricate the buffer to turn a bonnet cotton pad to scratch the carpet. The dirt is "scratched" away by the pad. Advantage: the carpet will dry in less than 30min. Disadvantage: carpet will be easily worn out. Some dirt on the surface and lots of dirt in the deep will not come out. Some shampoo residue is still there and continue to attract dirt, this will make carpet easy to be dirty again. If the carpet cleaner does not change the pad often, the dirty pad will smudge the carpet.  3. carpet dry cleaning (also called chem dry cleaning):cleaning detergent powder is beaten into carpet, then vacuumed out. Advantage: carpet is never wet Disadvantage: the powder can not fully mixed with carpet fibre, so some dirt will not be attacted by the powder. Vacuum machine can not vacuum all powder out, so some will still be left on carpet, this will make carpet quickly dirty again.
